We understand that this is a difficult time for our community. As a school, we want to be sensitive to the fact that you and your Houston family/friends will likely not be able to give to our school fundraiser this year. That is completely okay.
However, as a school, we still need to fundraise to meet our educational needs this year. We’re working with Boosterthon to implement some changes in order to make this year’s program special and relevant for Houston schools like us:
National Give Back to Help Schools Affected by Hurricane Harvey: Boosterthon recently announced that all $75,000 from their Project Classroom give back in partnership with DonorsChoose.org is being re-directed towards schools who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Visit ProjectClassroom.com for more info.
Non-Parent and Non-Houston Pledging Options: Boosterthon’s technology is set up to get pledges from all over the U.S. and world through smart pledging tools. If your family cannot financially give this year but you still want your child to participate in the program, simply share your student’s pledge page via email/social media to ask for sponsors from outside of Houston.
Just as a reminder: This year, we’re raising funds for the Marquee and 2 new monitors, and we’re hosting a Fun Run to make it happen! Our 2-week Fun Run program kicks off on Monday, November 6th and the Fun Run will take place on Thursday, November 15th.
Also, the top pledging student in Elementary School and the top pledging student in Middle School will get to choose a top prize! A laptop or a Nintendo Switch!
See the next page for how you can help. Thank you so much for your support!
